Re: Photos of your Hutches/Cages
Because My piggies are pretty well toilet trained (the youngest pig still has a few 'accidents') I have them free ranging in my bedroom. This is a pic I took when I first got piggies (they weren't being cared for properly so my looking after them turned into me keeping them) since then Loki is no longer with us and we have another young piggie to keep Thor company. They have slightly less space now because as well as needing to fit my bed into the same room as them I also have a mouse cage and 3 large rat cages. I've added a hay rack, 2 bowls of pellets (to avoid scuffles), a large box fort, a soft sided tunnel and a nice soft fleece house to keep them warm this winter, they needed a bigger litter tray too lol.

Post your cage pictures!
I thought it would be cool to have a thread where we can all share pictures of our cages, so people can come here, and get different ideas. I don't have a camera, so unfortunately...you wont be able to see mine. But I know other people have some awesome cages!

In the winter my guinea-pigs go into the shed:
And in the Summer they are outside:
The socks on the bottles are to stop the water from freezing

I'll post my cage soon. Also, Alicia... Do you go and sit in the shed and just spend time with your pigges?

Re: Photos of your Hutches/Cages
Haha I totally forgot about this thread! Oh dear. Maybe I should move the sticky over here, now that we have a cage sub-section?
ETA; ok, I merged them, so we now have the one sticky, since megs' and Alicia's summer setup were already in the original thread. Hope that's ok?
Megs, that pic of your room still cracks me up; what does it look like now? With a big hole chewed in the bed?
I wonder if I should try a tarp for Reuben's "accidents-on-purpose"?

Awesome, everyone!
That room looks awful sad now...just the 2 rat cages. No piggie stuff over the floor, no interesting barriers, no meece. The bed had to be removed as it was so badly chewed that there was a risk of ratties getting inside and having it collapse on them!
I hate to think what the state of the room is atm, I haven't been home since Friday (stuck in hosp) so Mum has been looking after them! Bet she hasn't vacuumed, lol.

Re: Photos of your Hutches/Cages
This forum has a youtube channel where I make guinea-pig care videos and link to the forum etc. and I'd like to do one on housing, does anyone mind if I use photos of the hutches/cages post in this thread? If anyone has anymore photos of hutches/cages please post them
