Rest Easy Zita
24/05/09 - 22/06/10
Zita came to me from a friend of mine in February when I needed a friend for my little girl Kudos.
Even after the long ride on the pet bus She was the friendliest mouse I'd ever met...She had this funny little smile that would greet me at the cage door if She heard me come into the room. She wasn't one to demand treats unless it was an excuse to lick my fingers but She ended up being a pretty decent sized mouse anyway.
She started to look pretty old, mainly because of all the grey hairs, rusting and fur loss that IMO made Her even more adorable. It wasn't just humans She loved, I never had a problem introducing Her to other mice and She was just like Kudos' adoptive mother. It was her job to make sure the little girls stayed warm.
I was feeling pretty stink just before so I went to go get some mousie cuddles but Zita didn't rush up to the door, She was in the igloo with Kudos and Sophia...still warm and with her eyes closed. So I suppose She passed peacefully in Her sleep with her friends beside Her, I'm not sure why She had to go though.
That smile I looked forward to seeing every day...
And linking tails with Her little buddy Kudos (one of my favorite photos)
Miss you
