Been to the vet with Amber Empty Been to the vet with Amber

Amber has had what I thought was a fungal infection on and off since March. She had it when I got her, so I used an anti-fungal shampoo and melt and it cleared up. It then came back last Month, so I used the shampoo and melt again and it was fine again for 2 weeks then it came back, so, thinking we'd just end up going round in circles with this I took her to the vet. The vet said that she doesn't have a fungal infection, she has ear disease. I've never heard of it before but he's given me some ear drops for her which I put in her ears twice a day. I haven't really noticed any improvement just yet, but I really hope it will get rid of it for good this time. She has a check-up in 2 weeks time to see if its gone.

Wow, what kind of ear disease? Hope it all clears up soon! Did he say if it were infectious or not?

No its not infectious, I don't know what kind of ear disease he just said ear disease and I was so worried about Amber I forgot to ask more about it Laughing Her drops haven't done much yet, but she's got a check-up next weekend so I'll see if she improves but if not I'll talk to the vet

The drops have done nothing! Her ear looks exactly the same to me as it did before she got the ear drops Sad She's got the vets on Saturday for a check-up so I'll talk to the vets and see if there is anything else we can try.

Sorry I forgot to update this last week. She went back to the vets on Saturday and the vet looked in her ear and said the ear disease has gone, there's just some scabs around her ear from where she's been scratching it. They are going away now, and the vet told me to not put the ear drops in her ear anymore, but on the scabs instead, which I've done and they are clearing up. Hopefully she'll keep improving from here Very Happy
